So politics. So messed up.
For example one of the maestras(from xela) in my room wants Obama and McCains running mate to run together... i mean maybe that would work.... no not really.
So this semester is very politically focused, we study and learn alot about the politics past and present in each of the pleaces we visit, that is because the School we are with is very focused on bringing students to Post'war countries and especially ones in which the U.S. has had a large influence...
every day I have some sort of heavy and heated conversation about politics or the economic siuation here and-or in latin america in general... its... well intense.
its intense to have those convos in spanish but also to be someone from the eeuu or U.S. and feel like i have alot of blood on my hands... like i have a part in the problems here....
its a hugely complex issue... or issues, but every day i feel more than guilty... or like part of the problem...in some way shape or form.
Inalot of ways i feel like that a good thing. you have to understand and realize the peoblems before they can be solved... but its alot of weight to carry.
SO all in all... (and i realize this is so vauge) i have had so many thought provoking converstions in the last couple of weeks about the u.s.´s involvement here and its something i think we all need to be aware of...
