LA MONTAÑA (back in Guatemala....)

At about the same time i stopped blogging and journaling i viajed(not a real word... spanglish) Traveled to Colomba, Guatemala for my last week of Language School at La Escuela de La Montaña.
I and 6 others (from the group of 18 students and 2 coordinators) went to La Montana for the week to 'study'

So just to give you an idea, the classes take place in picturesque huts in the middle of a old coffee finca scattered with bannana and lime trees.
we had fresh coffee and herbal tea all day every day and ate fruit off the land.

Class consisted mostly of conversation and hanging out - it was definently the most relaxed class environment i have ever experienced - we would talk about CHISME....gossip, politics, family, food and my teacher taught me lots of guatemalan slang!

On our last day, for our 'final test' one could say, we all went via the back of a pickup truck (picoop en espanol) to play soccer. We played Guatemaltecos v. Norteamericanos.
Of course the Norteamericanos lost.

Over all La Montana was kinda mix of college dorm/camping/rainy/beautiful/relaxing/coffee and brahava filled greatness.
